Poetry? Yes, please!

I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be reading at SoulFood Poetry Night with dear friend, writing partner, and fellow poet Kelly Davio on June 21st. Please join us for a night of literary goodness, great company and the pleasure of supporting your local arts community!

If you haven’t been to SoulFood Poetry Night, you’re missing out on a warm and vibrant poetry community! On the third Thursday of every month (second Thursday in December), SoulFood Books in Redmond, Washington, is home to SoulFood Poetry Night, an evening of engaged and engaging poetry in a magical environment. Our performance stage features professional sound and lighting systems in an inviting gallery and café setting in SoulFood Books.

SoulFood Poetry Night is curated by Michael Dylan Welch and Tanya McDonald, and has been running monthly since July of 2006. We ask one featured reader to select someone else to read with them. This process echoes the sense of community and connection that is central to SoulFood Books, brings in new voices, and helps to create harmony or contrast in our reading series. Featured readers start shortly after 7:00 p.m.
